Adoptive Family Bio

Kathy was first introduced to international adoption when her bio-daughter adopted a little girl with DS from Eastern Europe. They came home in December 2015. While following her daughter’s journey, and the years since, and hearing about the conditions that children who have aged out faced, and knowing those children would never know the love of a family, she knew she needed to do more. Reading story after story about the life altering effects of adoption – for the child and parents – has been an inspiration to her. For months Kathy had been contemplating and praying on what more she could do to help these children and in January of 2017, Kathy committed to a 14-year-old with DS from the same Eastern European country her granddaughter is from. She and her newly adopted daughter returned home in May 2018, one month before the child’s 16th birthday. In May of 2019, her daughter committed to another little girl with DS and is in the process of that adoption. Having seen Nora, and hearing her story, Kathy prayed that a family would see Nora and add her to their family. Little did she know that she would be that family!

TSC Note

We are especially excited that Nora is being adopted, because she has traveled a long road to get to this point. To read more about her story, see this plea from October 2018. Praise to God for answering our prayers and giving Nora a family.
